While walking through The Mournland in the direction that Titan had previously pointed them in the day before the surroundings around the group begin to change and begin to appear in a strange manner, as if that they’re walking at the bottom of looks like a lake of red water. Suddenly they realize that they cannot breath and they are indeed somehow now at the bottom of The Crimson Lake, miles away from their previous location with a hungry Dire Shark circling them. After escaping to the top of the lake and fighting off the shark the party swims eastward towards the nearby land and have Ashkhad contact their friends back on The Airship and tell them that they’re still alive, and that they’ll be exiting The Mournland likely within a day, but need them to pick them up at the border of the mist below Lake Cyre.

After walking an additional day through The Mournland the party comes to the edge of The Mournland and make their walk through the mist once more, hoping to arrive below Lake Cyre. After hours of blindly walking eastward they emerge at the border of The Mournland at their intended destination, at the south end of Lake Cyre, the airship within view. Before they can climb aboard the ship an unnatural nightmarish creature bursts from the confines of the mist and attacks the party, creating a short moment of chaos as the party skirmished to force the creature back into the mist. After defeating the creature and boarding back onto the ship the party explains their bizarre adventure to their friends and explain their findings about Teras’ Treasure and the existence of two similar objects, one of which now in their possession, which possess the power to open a mysterious vault from the age of giants, likely filled with magic. As the group finishes their explanation Rose emerges from her room and exclaims she has managed to translate more of The Prophecy within The Spellbook and reads off the exact message The Progenitor had given to them after his defeat. Disappointed, Rose returns to her room and begins working again as everyone begins to discuss their next location, deciding that they should begin looking for the Drow of Xen’drik that the elder Drow of Sharn had told could inform them more about .

The next morning the group is greeted by their guide, the women immediately taking notice of Ratchet and asking if this trip into the jungles will be like their previous one. Ratchet explains to the group that the women’s name is Iravae Hadiril, the person who Titan had mentioned before, and that during his year apart from the others she had been his guide during the expedition he had participated in. As Iravae asks where they’re heading in the jungles the party says they have nothing to go on other than it’s in the swamps. Iravae shows them a map of the jungles and the group decides to check the Marsh of Desolation. As Ashkhad, Rae, Ratchet and Thorn begin to debark the airship both Neya and Jaharath state that they’re going to be joining them in the trip to the Marsh of Desolation and together they head into the wilds.

After almost two weeks of traveling through the wilderness of Xen’drik the group begins to feel as if they’re being watched as they near the end of another day’s travel. As the day begins to end the group is greeted by a group of Drow, asking what their business in the swamps is. Iravae and Rae explain that they had been looking for them and had been pointed in their direction by the Drow of Sharn after they had saved them from THE CARNIVAL OF WOOOOOOOOOONDERSSSSS. After hearing their explanation and seeing the necklace given to them by the elder Drow back in Sharn they seem to open up slightly and begin taking them back to their encampment, telling them that they were only a few short miles from the marshes. Upon arriving into the camp Jaharath, Neya and Iravae are split up from the party due to their lack of necklaces and are put under watch while the main party are brought to the camp’s elder, who begins asking how they received their necklaces and what it is they have traveled into the marshes for. They explain once more that the Drow of Sharn had pointed them in their direction for information about “The Key” and “The Savior”. The elder states that he’ll tell them what he can about their legend of The Key and The Savior if they eliminate the leader of a rival tribe whom they have been at odds with and bring him his ring as proof. The party agrees are are quickly escorted out of the camp and are pointed in the direction of the other camp and begin walking. Finally the group arrives at what they assume to be the camp the drow had spoken of, and are surprised to see that the camp is easily twice as large as the one they had left from, numbering around at least 500. But what truly catches the eyes of the group is the symbol of the camp, a drawing of a box, closely resembling Teras’ Treasure and the box from Mechanus. Deciding to attempt to be civil about their situation Ashkhad and Rae walk into the camp while Thorn and Ratchet stay back in the scenario that something bad happens. After seeing their necklaces the Drow skeptically bring them to their group’s leader, a much younger and warrior like drow than the other camp’s and are quickly joined by Ratchet and Thorn who were discovered in the woods. The group explains yet again how they got their necklaces and what they want to know and are told yet again the same thing by the other Drow leader: Kill the other leader and bring evidence and are quickly kicked out of the camp. Deciding that it’s best to attack the camp that doesn’t have their friends the group waits until night and infiltrates the camp, engaging the leader in combat within his tent and quickly forcing him to surrender. The group demands he explain what it is that their symbol represents and he quickly explains that it’s an artifact passed down by his people, but knows nothing of any others like it or anything about The Vault, saying that it’s only a relic and agrees to give it to the group as long as they don’t kill him. The party agrees and demands his ring but the leader refuses which prompts the party to quickly knock him out and take it for themselves, retreating from the now alerted guards and heading back to the previous camp.

After spending the night walking back to the camp the party returns to the elder’s tent and gives hands him the ring of the other tribe’s leader. The elder agrees to answer their questions. The party asks who was The Savior who saved the world with a key and just what was this Key. The elder responds that it isn’t a story that their legends speak of but rather a prophecy and he speaks what sounds to be another verse of The Prophecy.
He who is lifeless yet living,
who weaves as he breathes
and Khyber shudders at his grasp.
The storm calls to him
and he answers with fury and wrath.
Faceless he rides, the Traveler’s companion,
pulling those out of darkness and madness
and into the Light.
After finishing he explains that The Key was an object created by the Giants during the war against the Quori and that the object was originally meant to be used to combat the Quori but was feared to be far too powerful to use and was broken into four pieces and hidden within a mountain, a plain, an island and a forest. Confused at the number the group presents the box recovered from Mechanus, an object referred to as a key by Krystival Valorek, to the elder and asks what he knows about it. The elder replies that he has never seen anything like that before, nor has he heard anything about a Vault in their legends, stating that their keys are completely different than The Key of the prophecy. Accepting that they have yet another mystery to begin unfolding the party thanks the leader for the information and leave the camp after retrieving their friends, beginning their journey back to Stormreach.

After arriving back in Stormreach the party is immediately greeted by Rose upon arriving on the airship where she reads, once again, the line they had just recently heard from the Drow elder. The group tells her their findings from the Drow and ask Rose to inform them about anything they find about a mountain, island, plain or forest and begin discussing their next move, deciding that while they cannot follow any trail on The Key it might be time to have their confrontation with Helais and retrieve the final “key”, Teras’ Treasure. Hoping to get information on his location Ashkhad contacts Faranhel and asks if he’s gotten any information on Helais. Faranhel states that they’ve had bigger problems and that House Deneith has split into two, the enclave in Sharn forming their own sect filled with Riedrans with the Baron of the sect likely being manipulated by The Dreaming Dark. Realizing Helais is likely involved the party decides to make route for Sharn.

Touching down in Sharn the group plus Jaharath make a quick trip to Viorr to attempt to gain more information on the Deneith split. Viorr states that Deneith is out of his jurisdiction and hasn’t been able to gain anything useful, but tells them that the group has wanted posters posted in the Deneith enclave, but people have been shying away from Deneith since the split. Deciding to get more information the group meets with Faranhel who tells the group similar information, stating that Helais has dropped off the radar a few short days after gaining Teras’ Treasure and that they’ve been attempting to gain more information but to no avail and have been losing numbers. The group states that they’ll tell them anything that they find and they’ll be in contact and decide to send Rae and Jaharath to the Deneith enclave, hoping to get some information from their contact Falon Penbroke. After arriving in his office Rae reveals herself to be one of Odd-jobs Incorporated who had questioned him earlier and he tells her to call the rest of the party in as they’d likely want to hear everything. After everyone arrives he explains that the Sharn Baron, Baron Sedral d’Deneith, is likely being manipulated by an outside source, and there have been rumors of a masked Riedran known as “The Serpent” being behind the split and current operations. The party explains the situation about Helais to Falon and he states that if they were to try to find anything out they’d likely need to head to the Riedran embassy and offers them a map. While looking over the map Faranhel contacts Ashkhad and Jaharath and explains that he might of located where Teras’ Treasure is being held, a vault within the Riedran embassy. Ashkhad asks Falon where a vault would be located within the embassy and Falon marks a location on a higher floor of the embassy on the map. After several more questions about the Baron and split the group thanks him for his time and help and heads back to the airship, Rae beginning to plan the break in of the Riedran Embassy. During the planning Neya states that Rose has managed to find some information in the spellbook pertaining to the gatekeepers, but hasn’t managed to translate more than that and that she’s still working on it.

As night falls the party heads out to the Riedran Embassy, breaking in through the windows with Rae’s expertise of burglary, then heading down the hallways of the embassy, using Jaharath’s telepathy to make them invisible in the minds of others and reaching the air ducts, traveling through them and exiting in the room of the embassy’s vault, deactivating the psionic traps with Ashkhad and Jaharath’s powers, forcing open the vault with Thorn’s strength and finally switching the treasure with a copy made by Ratchet. As the party makes their way back into the ducts the alarms of the embassy go off, forcing the party to exit the embassy’s tower from the outside, dropping down from the walls with the use of Feather Fall Tokens down to a lower bridge and making a mad dash to the airship. As the party drops to the ground below Thorn spots Helais on a higher bridge outside the embassy watching the party with a smile.
